My New Year in Fort Pierre

Spending my first week of the new year in Fort Pierre has been absolutely delightful. From celebrating with delicious meals to making sweet memories with my family, it’s been the perfect start to 2025!

The festivities kicked off with an incredible New Year’s celebration. We decided to indulge in some local flavor and headed to the Silver Spur. Their menu for the night? Absolute perfection! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming—just what we needed to set the tone for the year ahead.

A few days later, my husband and I carved out some quality time with a cozy date night at Drifters Bar & Grille. Let me tell you, their cocktails and dishes were fantastic. We savored every bite, enjoyed the charming riverfront view, and couldn’t stop talking about how lucky we felt to have such great dining options available to us.

Of course, no new year would be complete without a little shopping therapy! I swung by Total Beauty and treated myself to some fabulous jeans and jewelry. The staff there is always so friendly and helpful—they make the experience feel like a mini self-care retreat.

And because life’s about balance, I made a pit stop at Dakota Mart to stock up on groceries for some hearty home-cooked meals. The store had everything I needed (and then some). Plus, shopping locally always feels good.

The highlight of my week, though, was spending time with my family. We gathered, laughed, and shared stories over delicious meals, reminiscing about the past year while dreaming about the adventures to come.

Starting the year in Fort Pierre has been a reminder of how much joy can be found in the simple things: good food, great company, and the charm of a small town that feels like home. Here’s to an amazing 2025 filled with love, laughter, and lots more Fort Pierre moments!
